All about the spoons
I would like to again love to welcome our anon Village backer from our Kickstarter. Who I will call Cim. CIM is the acronym for her blog she co-runs called (Chronic Illness Memes) Cim is chronically ill and disabled and she is bed-ridden for most days. She wants to create a place in the game inspired by the spoon theory. I made a post about it previously in case you missed it here.
Now unfortunately people jump to conclusions without actually doing enough research on us. This is her idea not ours, as a result disabilities is going to play a larger role than previously planned. She is also a part of the development team and she’ll be working with us to design some spoonie characters.
When it comes to disabilities in the game for now it will be represented mostly via NPCs and other content. Our game at its core, is a farming game with a lot of physical activities, running around, stamina management and so forth. To include disabilities (that can’t be simply role-played) for players, it would be more to difficult design properly and increase budget.
But before you dismiss us there are many other ways you can have a game include disabled characters via NPCs, quests, other game content. That’s where Cim and Cim community come into play. And we’re excited to work with her! Thanks soo much again :D
